Infused Jameson because, duh.

Now that my boyfriend’s birthday is over, and the gift has been given, I can share this top secret recipe! (It’s accessible only to you and every other person who has internet!!)

I read this post here about the how-to of making apple-cinnamon infused whiskey back in December, and stashed it away for my favorite guy’s birthday in February. It seems like a great Christmas gift, but being “snowed in” last night seemed like Christmas season enough. The complete directions/pictures are on that website, so take a look!

I cut the recipe down to 1 liter of Jameson for my gifting (because my wallet was all, “one is enough.”) So, I then used 2 cinnamon sticks, one green apple, and one braeburn apple. I bought a 2 liter jar from Target, and let it sit for about 2 and a half weeks.

Pour in two mason jars. Tie with ribbon. Be adorable. Give to someone special! That someone can tooootally be you, by the way.

I would also take the suggestion of adding this to apple cider, heating, and mmmmmmmming.

Make the most of jail!

Jail can be unexpected and maybe scary. But just remember a few helpful hints to make the most of your experience:

1) Prepare some good stories. Totally bash Kevin, Mr. Cupid.com-responder-turned-loser, explaining your date in exaggerated detail. People love a good date gone wrong tale! Get some humor and pity all wrapped into one, and you’ll be a hit in no time.

2) Take advantage of the perks. They’re your rights. They WANT you to do this. “Can I get some more water? Is there a gym here? When’s lunch?”

2) If you are surrounded by women, especially Thai women, be prepared with some Madonna tunes. I suppose Madonna isn’t your only option, just choose an American classic. You’ll win them all over by inviting everyone for an old fashioned sing-a-long. This has been proven true by Bridge, the inspiration for all this mess.

3) Have a friend that will come bail you out within 24-48 hours. Otherwise this isn’t all that funny, and you’re kindof screwed.

Hope this helps all you jailbirds out there. Peace and love, Abby.
